MAP logoTunisia seeks to capitalize on Morocco’s accumulated experience in human rights, said Thursday in Rabat, Tunisian Prime Minister Mehdi Jomaa.

“Morocco’s momentum” has made the Kingdom “a model in the region”, Tunisian PM told the press following a meeting with the Speaker of Morocco’s House of Representatives Talbi Alami.

Jomaa said he discussed with Alami the Moroccan parliamentary experience and the Kingdom’s experience in transitional justice, adding that talks also covered means of developping relations between the two countries.

For his part, Alami noted that the meeting was an opportunity to examine several issues of common interest including the situation in the Maghreb Union and the role of Morocco and Tunisia in the Euro-Mediterranean zone…[Original story, subscription required]
