Reform and democratization efforts in Morocco praised by Secretary General of the European External Action Service:

MAP logoThe EU is very impressed by the large-scale democratic reforms undertaken by Morocco over the past years, said, on Monday in Brussels, secretary general of the European External Action Service Alain Le Roy.

“The EU is very impressed by the large-scale democratic reforms undertaken by Morocco over the past years, particularly after the adoption of the 2011 constitution,” said the EU official in a statement to MAP after a meeting with justice ministry Mustapha Ramid.

Le Roy, who lauded reforms in the legal field and the criminal and civil justice system, added that the Union is glad to contribute to these major project through a budget of 70 million euros.
