Morocco’s King Mohammed VI congratulates US President Barack Obama on Independence Day.

Maghreb Arab Press (Rabat, Morocco, July 4th, 2013) — King Mohammed VI sent a message of congratulations to US President Barack Obama on the occasion of US Independence day.

King Mohammed expresses pride in the longstanding Morocco-US friendship ties and renews the earnest will to develop fruitful and constructive cooperation between the two countries in all fields, in a way to give a new impetus to the two nations’ strategic partnership.

The King also affirms he is confident that the “continuation of regular contacts and consultation, both at the personal and institutional levels, is likely to pave the way for joint action between the two countries, serving the best interests of the two brother peoples.”

The message further hails the fruitful bilateral cooperation within various international forums, particularly at the UN Security Council, stressing Morocco’s continuous readiness to endeavour to coordinate the two countries’ stances on various issues of common interest, including on issues related to security challenges.

King Mohammed expresses warm congratulations and best wishes of happiness and health to the US president and of further progress and prosperity to the American people.
