King Mohammed VI Lays Foundation Stone of Mohammed VI University for Health Sciences in Casablanca | Maghreb Arab Press

Morocco begins work on a new University to promote the health and medical sectors, and to serve as a research hub between Africa and Europe:

King Mohammed VI on Monday laid the foundation stone of the Mohammed VI University for Health Sciences in the district of Hay Hassani in Casablanca

The 465-million-dirham university will provide a platform for practical training and student development, and a hub for medical research between Europe and Africa.

The Mohammed VI University for Health Sciences, the first multidisciplinary educational structure of its kind in the Kingdom, comprises four training institutions: a medical school, a graduate school of public health and management of health systems, a school of nursing and health techniques and a graduate school of biomedical engineering.

The future university will be completed within 21 months on an area of 31,000 square meters. It will house a set of structures and dependencies, notably university campuses and centers of research, simulation and congress.
