Morocco represents Africa at the United Nations:
Morocco’s permanent representative in New York, Ambassador Omar Hilale, assumed on Wednesday the chairmanship of the African ambassadors group at the UN during the handover ceremony between him and outgoing president, Permanent Representative Ambassador of Madagascar Zina Andrianarvielo-Razafy.
Morocco will focus during this period on promoting the interests of Africa during talks on peacekeeping operations and peace-building process, Hilale told MAP on Thursday.
Morocco will also promote Africa’s position in the talks process on post 2015 development agenda, he added.
Hilale will act also, during his mandate, as the spokesperson of Africa since he will give African speeches during UN meetings…[Original Story, Subscription Required]
