Exercise African Lion 2015 kicked off Monday (February 2nd) in Agadir. International military contingents from Morocco, the United States, Germany, the United Kingdom, Tunisia, Mauritania and Senegal are participating in the first phase of the event, which is the largest annual US military exercise in Africa. The Netherlands and Belgium will join for the second phase.
The international exercise hosted by Morocco will focus on ways to build combined military capabilities, strengthen intelligence capacities, support peace operations and test intervention capabilities in conflict regions, le360.ma reported
