Morocco is a leader in sustainable development in Africa, says the president of the Atlantic Council:

MAP logoUnder the leadership of King Mohammed VI, Morocco stands out as a “haven of stability in Africa”, said president of US think-tank, Atlantic Council, Fred Kempe.

At a time when President Obama is calling African countries to engage decisively in sustainable development, the Kingdom of Morocco is leading the way, as is evidenced by the firm engagement and interest of Moroccan companies and banks in Africa where no less than 10 percent of trade activities are their deed, said the US pundit who sent a note to strategic partners and opinion-makers in the US.

On counter-terrorism, Kempe author of four books, and a regular commentator on television and radio both in Europe and the United States, noted that while leaders of the region are seeking efficient ways to end the spread of radical ideas, Morocco has adopted an efficient legal framework against extremism, reformed the religious sector and consolidated religious tolerance.
