EU Should Further Support Morocco, ‘Success Story’ in Southern Neighbourhood: Mogherini [Maghreb Arab Press]
The new EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Frederica Mogherini, states that the European Union should further support Morocco, a “success story” for the southern Mediterranean:
The new EU foreign affairs chief who was addressing MEPs during a hearing at the European Parliament in Brussels stressed that the EU should pay more attention to successful countries in its southern neighborhood, particularly Morocco and Tunisia.
Mogherini stressed in this context the importance for the EU to strengthen cooperation relations with its southern neighbors, “who must no longer be considered as mere aid recipients, but as reel political partners”.
