Morocco Legalizes 18,000 Migrants in 2014 Under New Policy | AP

Morocco’s migration policy reform makes a big impact:

APMorocco has announced that 65 percent of migrants applying for legal status were approved — some 18,000 people — in the first year of the country’s new immigration policy.

Charki Draiss, the minister delegate for the interior said Monday some 27,000 illegal migrants from 116 countries living in Morocco applied for papers, with all women and children being approved.
