Belgian deputies propose to coach Moroccan candidates for Sept. 4 elections | MAP
Morocco’s upcoming elections are drawing interest and support from abroad, especially for women candidates:
Seven Belgian deputies from the Brussels-Capital Region will visit, from Aug. 26 to Sept. 1, different Moroccan cities to help young candidates in the elections of Sept. 4, sources from Brussels said on Wednesday.
This action dubbed “Women, future leaders” is aimed at coaching women standing as candidates in these elections and provide them with tools to be better prepared for the event, Simone Susskind, deputy from Brussels, told MAP.
This action is meant to present to these young women, most of whom stand candidates for the first time, the experience of Belgian local and regional female elected members, she added.
