Nareva, Enel and Siemens selected to build $1.1bn wind power projects in Morocco | Energy Business Review

Morocco has inked a deal to build five new wind power projects, adding a total of 850MW capacity to Morocco’s already vast renewable energy production:

energy business reviewThe Moroccan utility Office National de l’Electricité et de l’Eau Potable (ONEE) has selected a consortium comprising the Moroccan energy company Nareva, Enel Green Power (EGP) and Siemens Wind Power to develop wind projects with an investment of approximately €1bn ($1.1bn).

Upon signing of the contract, the consortium will develop, design, finance, construct, operate and maintain five wind projects, which have a combined power generation capacity of 850MW, in Morocco.
