Changing the World One Tech Girl at a Time
The Sydney Morning Herald reports on a group of young women from the Middle East and North Africa invited to participate in TechGirls, an American program that engages young women with major tech companies:
For Nataly Ayyad, a 15-year-old from Bethlehem in the Palestinian Territories, the past month’s experiences have changed view of the world and, potentially, her life.
With other young women from the Middle East and North Africa, Ayyad spent the past three weeks in New York and Washington, DC, visiting tech companies and meeting industry executives as part of TechGirls, a cultural exchange program sponsored by the US government.
